PRECRISIS Will Host 10 Webinars on Incident Management at Public Spaces

Starting from February, the PRECRISIS project will conduct a series of ten webinars on the operational challenges of incident management in the context of protecting public spaces.

During the online events, experts from the UK, Germany, Bulgaria and other countries who are members of the PRECRISIS consortium will shed light on the need for applying multi-stakeholder approaches for finding the most appropriate solutions in protecting public spaces.

The Bavarian Police University (HföD) will host the webinars with support from the European Institute Foundation (EI). As organisers, HföD and EI are happy to invite all those interested in attending the webinars to register and engage first-hand with the discussions and the speakers.

The first two webinars from this series will provide an overview of the legislative framework, laws and regulations in specific country contexts, as well on the EU level:

The first webinars will feature two distinguished speakers from SAHER (Europe): Andrew Staniforth and Alison Lyle:

  • Andrew Staniforthis an expert in counter terrorism and protection of public spaces. A former counter terrorism police officer with over 25 years of experience, Andrew is the author of specialised books and publications on terrorism and protective security. He has worked in 22 countries and has designed and delivered international multi-agency security exercise programmes. Andrew has held academic positions at leading security research institutes.
  • Alison Lyleis the Legal Executive at SAHER (Europe). A member of EDEN at Europol, Alison has extensive experience within UK law enforcement including the role of Legal Advisor specialised in European law. She has provided legal guidance to the Police and Crime Commissioners across the UK on data protection compliance and has experience contributing to EU research and innovation actions in the security domain. Alison is a Research Fellow in terrorism and organised crime and a Senior Lecturer in policing.
