A live demonstration of the PRECRISIS Platform will take place on Friday 9 May 2025 at 1:00 p.m. CET.
This online event is part of the regular meeting of the Community of Practice (CoP) of the GATHERINGS project. Both GATHERINGS and PRECRISIS are funded through Horizon Europe – the EU’s flagship research and innovation programme.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain exclusive insights into the functionalities and use cases of the PRECRISIS Platform, designed to enhance preparedness and response capacities through data-driven surveillance and strategic foresight tools.
All interested stakeholders are invited to participate in the session through registering in advance and, after that, joining the virtual event on May 9. This is a chance to connect, discuss, and exchange ideas with fellow experts across Europe.
The CoP meeting is designed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among professionals and researchers working in crisis preparedness, public safety, digital surveillance, and ethics. The event will offer an opportunity for participants to engage in an open discussion on the role of surveillance in crisis management and reflect on practical challenges, ethical considerations, and cost-effectiveness in deploying innovative technologies in the process.
“The joint PRECRISIS-GATHERINGS webinar offers an opportunity to demonstrate the latest version of the PRECRISIS platform to experts and innovators from the GATHERINGS Community of Practice network. This is a key moment: we are positioned between our two evaluation exercises and approaching the finalisation of the platform. The insights gained from this session will be instrumental for shaping the final iteration of the platform”, Postdoctoral Researcher Lorenzo Vaquero from Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) commented.
This is not the first time that PRECRISIS and GATHERINGS collaborate: in December 2024, the two sibling projects jointly hosted a thematic workshop in Vienna.
